Senior Season + Early Bird Planning!
Now that my oldest is about to finish junior year, I can confidently say there’s something about this time that feels different. It’s more than just a milestone…
They’re not so little anymore, these kids. They’re making decisions. Visiting campuses. Thinking about what comes next. Some of them are stepping into leadership roles, auditions, scholarships, or big goals they’ve been working toward for years.
What I really want in this season is to take a moment to slow down and really see them. Appreciate the now.
Not as a child. Not as a fully launched adult. But as someone standing right in the middle of becoming.
You are multifaceted and your images can be too!
I don’t believe senior sessions should feel stiff or one-dimensional. To make sure your images are as multifaceted as you are, here are some things to bring:
Items or clothing that represent what you’ve poured yourself into. Whether it’s ballet, fine art, basketball, jazz band, the debate team, etc…
The college sweatshirt or swag that hints at what’s ahead
The suit or dress that makes you feel polished and ready for anything!
The relaxed, everyday outfits that feel like home
Something unexpected that brings you joy and makes you feel alive!
Some sessions are fully in-studio in Winterset. Some are outdoors. Others are a blend of both. Winterset provides a wonderful variety of options just minutes from the studio. If you want to add a location outside of town, we can design that too!
This is meant to be collaborative, personal and a whole lot of fun :)

Reserve your senior’s SUMMER date during March or April to have your full session fee rolled directly into art credit towards prints and products you’ll choose after the session.
Summers are a busy time of year around here, as well as for busy seniors. Booking early is key to getting the best fit for your schedule.
